Install DRUPAL Pathauto Module from your DRUPAL site.

The DRUPAL pathauto module be install and configure from the administer menu page of your site by using the menus modules from site building. Inside this menus, select this module to be install on your drupal. To configure this module, you need to go to site configuration. The Pathauto module automatically generates path aliases for various kinds of content (nodes, categories, users) without requiring the user to manually specify the path alias. This allows you to get aliases like /category/my-node-title.html instead of /node/123. The aliases are based upon a "pattern" system which the administrator can control. Tokens are small bits of text that can be placed into larger documents via simple placeholders, like %site-name or [user]. The Token module provides a central API for modules to use these tokens, and expose their own token values. Pathauto and token are depending on each other. So, you need to install token as well in order you to install pathauto.Provides a mechanism for modules to automatically generate aliases for the content they manage.Depends on: Path (enabled), Token (disabled).Provides a shared API for replacement of textual placeholders with actual data.

How to install DRUPAL pathauto module on your DRUPAL site

1. Download the DRUPAL pathauto module base on your Drupal platform. Link to download drupal pathauto module.

2. Extract the pathauto-5.x-2.3.tar.gz. After extracting you will get a folder pathauto. Extract the token-5.x-1.13.tar.gz. After extracting you will get a folder token

3. Connect to your host server using the ftp server such as cuteftp or wsftp or filezilla. Transfer the module folder to your host which is located at sites/all/modules.

4. Login to your site. Go to Administer->>Site building->>Modules.

5. Tick on the checkbox to enable the pathauto module. You need to check token module together with pathauto module because its dependency. Click on the save configuration button.
