Install the DRUPAL webform module from your DRUPAL site.

The DRUPAL webform module can be configure inside your site. It can be configure from the administer menu page of your site by using the menus link from site configuration. Inside this menus, you may enables the creation of forms and questionnaires.This module adds a webform nodetype to your Drupal site. Typical uses for Webform are questionnaires, contact or request/register forms, surveys, polls or a front end to issues tracking systems. Submissions from a webform are saved in a database table and can optionally be mailed to a nominated e-mail address upon submission. Past submissions are viewable for users with the correct permissions. Webform includes some simple statistical tools to help in form design and evaluation and also allows the whole table to be downloaded as a csv file for detailed statistical analysis.

How to configure Webform module on your DRUPAL site?

1) Download the webform module from the drupal site project. http://drupal.org/project/webform . Choose your drupal official releases. For my testing purpose im using 5.x-2.7. Click on the download link.

2) Extract the webform-5.x-2.7.tar.gz and put the it into your drupal sites/all/modules/

3) Login to your drupal site.

4) Go to Administer > Site Building > Modules to install the webform module.

5) Tick on check box to enabled the webform module. This module will enables the creation form and questionnaires. Click save configuration button.

6) Go to Administer > Site Configuration >Webform. Select the field for your installation webform. You may disable of these components by unchecking its corresponding box. Only checked components will be available in existing or new webforms.

7) Webforms are forms and questionnaires. To add one, select Create content -> Webform. Create a new form or questionnaire accessible to users. Submission results and statistics are recorded and accessible to privileged users. Fill up the form title and so on. Click on submit to create new form.

8) Once you already creating a form, you will see the form on the Administer > Content Management . You may View and edit all the available webforms on your site. For the next tutorial, i wll show you how to use and create the form component on the webform module.
