Installing MDPro CMS on your system

A CMS is an application that provides for the display and management of the contents of a web site. MD-Pro carries this many steps farther by making this management simple yet powerful.  Your MD-Pro powered web site can be updated in seconds without any knowledge of programming or HTML.  MD-Pro can be configured to allow your site users to send news, comment on existing news, vote in polls, administer their own account via a simple graphical interface and much more.

How to install MDpro on your system?

This is the quickstart guide for installing MDpro, aimed at people that are used to working with websites, PHP and databases.

Step 1 : Create you database name on your mysql. Create a database and a full-access database user for that database. Run the Command Prompt on the start run button and type cmd. On the Command Prompt, type the command C:\>mysql -u root -p and Enter root password. Entering the mysql database. Type the command as  below :

mysql>create database mdpro;
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)

Step 2 : Extract all the file that you've already download from the mdpro website into the C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs

Step 3 : MDlite Installer. Select your language.

Step 4 : GPL License. This script will install the MDPro 1.0821 database and help you set up the variables which are required for MDPro 1.0821 to function properly. Step 5 : Check CHMOD Permissions. This can often be fixed using a .htaccess file with the following line:
php_flag magic_quotes_gpc On.

Step 6 : Add Database Information. Please enter your DB information. You will need to create your (empty) database before you proceed. The installation process will add tables to your empty database. If you have root access, the installation process can create your database for you although for security purposes, we advise against running the database with root as the owner.

Step 7 :  Choose Installation Type. Please look over the information and make sure that it is correct. You have entered the following information. Select New Installation or Upgrade to continue.

Step 8 : Create Database. You need to have created the db manually so the installation process can add the tables to your database. If you have done so, click on start. If you have root access and wish to run as root, which is not advisable, check the create the database box. Tables created.

Step 9 : Setting up db preferences. You can now setup your administrative account. If you pass on this setup, your login for the administrative account will be Admin(case sensitive) and insert one password please.

Step 10 : MDpro website. Enjoy using MDpro.
