Managing MOODLE Site News on your front page moodle website.

This tutorial will describes step by step on how to manage site news on moodle and set the site news on front page which provide for the student and teacher latest information and news or an announcement. The example below will show how to manage it. The centre of the front page can display any combination of the following: news items, a list of courses, a list of course categories, a list of categories and courses or none. If you choose to display a list of courses when logged in, then students are provided with a list of only the courses they are enrolled in. This setting only applies if the front page is set to display news items or if you are using the Latest News block.

How to manage site news on moodle?

1. login as admin to manage site news.

2.  Go to site administraion-->Front page-->front page settings. Select News items on front page and front items when logged in to view site news. Select news items to be show. By default is 3. Click on save changes button to proceed continue changes.

3. You finally publish your site news on your moodle front page. This is your site news front page on moodle.
